A Jefferson County deputy stops a car on I-22, finds great amount of marijuana in car.The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office stated deputies stopped a car on Monday at about 1 p.m.As the deputy approached the car, he may scent a powerful odor of marijuana coming from the car, in accordance with the police report.The deputy carried out a authorized search of the car and located roughly 18 pounds of the drug, officers stated.The driver, recognized as Rafael Sequoyah Freedman, 26, of Berkerly, California, was arrested and brought to the Jefferson County Jail.
