Oregon’s Measure 109 would mandate the creation of the Oregon Psilocybin Services Program, permitting the manufacturing, administering and sale of psilocybin mushrooms by licenced services.
If profitable, the poll initiative permits for a 2-year developmental interval previous to the graduation of the Program.
DC’s Initiative 81 requires the efficient decriminalisation of non-commercial cultivation, distribution, possession, and use of psychedelics equivalent to psilocybin and ibogaine by ordering police to deal with them because the lowest legislation enforcement priorities.
Under this initiative, entheogenic vegetation and fungi embody ibogaine, dimethyltryptamine, mescaline, psilocybin, or psilocyn.
Oregon’s strategy is extra structured, making a medical psychedelics program. DC’s strategy, in the meantime, is a broader decriminalisation of psychedelic vegetation and fungi.
If profitable, Oregon and DC would be a part of the cities of Denver, Colorado, Santa Cruz and Oakland, California, and Ann Arbor, Michigan of their efforts to start to cut back America’s battle on (psychedelic) medicine.
This potential cross-coast psychedelic decriminalisation can be a serious signifier of the legitimacy afforded to those substances by the American public.
