Rajamangala University of Technology Isan (RMUTI) Khon Kaen Campus is teaming up with companions to research and develop manufacturing and processing of cannabis, hemp and different Thai herbs for medical functions.

The cooperation is printed in a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed with GreenWorks Asia and the Na Fay Tambon Administrative Organisation (TAO) within the northeastern province.

The collaboration has seven functions: to review and enhance hemp species to seek out optimised hemp varietals particularly for Khon Kaen; to review and enhance strategies of hemp cultivation to extend product amount and high quality; to review and develop new hemp species for Thailand; to review and enhance cannabidiol (CBD) as a mix in Thai natural merchandise together with however not restricted to turmeric, lemongrass, black galingale, gotu kola and chrysanthemum; to review and enhance herbs for industrial processing and export to the worldwide market; to review and develop meals and beverage, diet, wellness, skincare, beauty merchandise and fragrance that include CBD; and to utilise the Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) economic system mannequin to review and enhance hemp and Thai conventional herbs.
